The Meridian Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate the businesses and individuals who help make Meridian a thriving place to live, work, and do business. Each year, we invite the community to nominate those who go above and beyond, whether through exceptional business practices, top-notch customer service, or meaningful community involvement.
Nominees should demonstrate:

Commitment to the economic health of the community

Active participation in civic, community, and Chamber projects and activities

Dedication to encouraging employees to get involved through supportive policies and culture
Anyone may submit a nomination, including self-nominations. Winners must be active Chamber members.

Award Descriptions
Small Business of the Year (1–25 Employees)
Honors a small business that exemplifies excellence in operations, customer service, and community involvement while contributing to the strength and vitality of the local economy.
Medium Business of the Year (26–100 Employees)
Recognizes a growing business that has achieved sustained success, demonstrated strong leadership, and made a meaningful impact on employees, customers, and the broader community.
Large Business of the Year (101+ Employees)
Celebrates an established business that shows outstanding performance, leadership, and a commitment to innovation, workplace culture, and community engagement.
Business Leader of the Year
Recognizes an individual who exemplifies strong leadership, integrity, and a commitment to driving success within their organization and the business community.
Entrepreneur of the Year
Honors an individual who has demonstrated exceptional vision, initiative, and risk-taking in building or growing a successful business or venture.
Woman-Owned Business of the Year
Celebrates a woman-owned business that has demonstrated excellence in leadership, growth, and impact while inspiring others in the business community.
New Business of the Year
Recognizes a business established within the past 1–3 years that has demonstrated strong growth, innovation, and a positive impact on the local business community.
Community Impact Award (Philanthropy)
Recognizes a business or individual that has gone above and beyond in giving back - demonstrating a strong commitment to philanthropy, volunteerism, and improving the quality of life in the community.
Nonprofit of the Year
Honors a nonprofit organization that has made a significant and measurable impact through its mission, programs, and service to the community.
Business Excellence Awards Luncheon
Winners will be announced and celebrated at the Business Excellence Awards Luncheon, where community members, leaders, and fellow business professionals gather to honor the remarkable contributions of our nominees. This luncheon is not only a celebration but also a networking opportunity to connect with the very best in Meridian’s business community.
The 2026 Business Excellence Awards Luncheon is on August 27th.
