Oktoberfest is an iconic Bavarian festival that brings people together from all corners of the globe to celebrate German culture, music, and, of course, beer! Last year was Meridian's third Oktoberfest with over 12,000 people in attendance. This year we're expecting even more!
We have a fantastic lineup of activities planned to keep the excitement going all day long. Whether you're a music enthusiast, a foodie, or someone who enjoys lively contests, there's something for everyone at our Oktoberfest.

The streets of Downtown Meridian are yours. We've closed the road so you can roam freely with a cold one in hand - true Oktoberfest style.
Grab a wristband on-site (must be 21+ with valid ID) and choose from local favorites Loose Screw Beer Co., Voodoo Brewery Meridian, Sockeye Brewery, and 127 Saloon.
Local Artisan, Retail, & Service Vendors
Over 60 vendors. Zero reasons to leave empty-handed. Browse handmade goods, local retail, and service businesses all in one place - right in the heart of Downtown Meridian.
Live Music & Bands
Good beer deserves great music. Boise Edelweiss sets the Oktoberfest mood all day long, and evening headliner Soul Patch brings the night home. Live music from open to close - no cover, no catch.

Join the fun with contests for adults and kids throughout the day, including stein holding, yodeling, pretzel tossing, a polka dance-off, eating contests, and more!

Yodeling Contest
Think you have what it takes to yodel like a true Bavarian? Step up to the microphone and show off your best yodeling skills in this crowd-favorite competition. Whether you're a seasoned yodeler or trying it for the first time, participants of all ages are encouraged to join the fun and compete for bragging rights.

Youth Strudel Eating Contest (Ages 8–14)
Young Oktoberfest fans are invited to put their appetites to the test in this exciting strudel-eating contest. Competitors ages 8–14 will race to finish their delicious strudel while family and friends cheer them on. Registration is limited, so be sure to sign up early.

Best Dressed Oktoberfest Attire Contest
Dust off your lederhosen, dirndls, and festive Bavarian attire for your chance to be crowned Oktoberfest's best dressed. Participants will be judged on creativity, authenticity, and overall Oktoberfest spirit. Come dressed to impress and celebrate German tradition in style.

Cornhole Tournament
Gather your teammate and compete in our Oktoberfest Cornhole Tournament at Frontier Park. Teams will battle through a bracket-style competition for prizes and ultimate bragging rights. Whether you're a backyard champion or a first-time player, everyone is welcome to join. Must sign up in advance through Cornholio.

Stein Racing / Beer Run
Competitors will test their speed, balance, and Oktoberfest spirit in this unique festival challenge. Participants must navigate the course while carrying a stein, with the fastest and steadiest competitor claiming victory.

Polka Dance-Off
Grab a partner or hit the dance floor solo for our lively Polka Dance-Off. Contestants will show off their best moves while the crowd cheers them on. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking for a good laugh, this energetic competition is guaranteed fun.

Strudel Eating Contest
Ready for a sweet challenge? Watch contestants race to finish a traditional German strudel in this crowd-pleasing competition. The combination of speed, determination, and plenty of laughter makes this one of the festival's most entertaining events.

Brat Eating Contest
One of Oktoberfest's most anticipated competitions returns as contestants go head-to-head to see who can consume the most bratwurst. Expect big appetites, enthusiastic crowds, and plenty of unforgettable moments.

Pretzel Tossing Game
Head over to Generations Plaza and test your aim in this family-friendly Oktoberfest challenge. Participants will compete in a fun pretzel-themed tossing game that’s perfect for all ages. Simple, entertaining, and full of friendly competition.

Beer Pong Tournament
Join the action at Centennial Park for our Oktoberfest Beer Pong Tournament. Teams will compete in a friendly tournament atmosphere for prizes and bragging rights. Whether you're playing or spectating, this event promises plenty of excitement and camaraderie.

Stein Hold at Sunset Contest
Presented by Loose Screw Brewery, this classic Oktoberfest challenge tests endurance and determination. Participants will hold a filled stein straight out in front of them for as long as possible. The last person standing earns ultimate bragging rights and a well-deserved championship title.

Latest Project
The new owners of Idaho Tea & Coffee House wanted to give their place a complete makeover. We turned this boring looking cafe into a remarkable place. Both inside and outside, we built new furniture made to last heavy use and bad weather. All the wood used for the project was delivered from a nearby sawmill.
